The Accusize Industrial Tools 1/2" × 6" M35 Cobalt round Lathe Tool Bit is crafted from M35 high speed steel enriched with 5% cobalt. This composition increases hardness and wear resistance compared to standard high-speed steel, allowing the bit to handle tougher materials and minimize wear in heavy machining. Each blank is ground for heavy cuts on casting and forged steels and can be shaped to suit a wide range of machining operations, including turning, facing, chamfering, threading, taper turning, parting, contouring, grooving, and cut-off tasks. Each round blank has a diameter of 1/2" and an overall length of 6", allowing for adaptable tool shaping and precise control. Choosing these M35 Cobalt blanks means fewer tool changes and consistent reliability for a range of turning operations.
